Aston Pride is a New Deal for Communities (NDC) Partnership established to deliver outcomes that make a real difference to local people by tackling five key themes – poor job prospects; high levels of crime; educational underachievement; poor health and problems with housing and the physical environment. As you can imagine managing a complex project as this generates reams of records that need to be retained for regulatory compliance and audit purposes. Accounts, procurement and project records from NDC inception had been physically stored at a local storage warehouse and senior management from Aston Pride recognised that they needed a different solution. Steve Macdonald from Aston Pride commented "we decided to investigate electronically storing documents to cut down the long term costs of keeping documents in a warehouse and to have instant access to project information as we needed it. We have been very pleased with the service and the support of thecabinetoffice thorughout the project. It has transformed our document archiving process cutting our costs by 40%. the service we have received from thecabinetoffice has been excellent and I would certainly recommend them to others" community lawBased in the centre of Birmingham, Community Law Partnership are a legal aid firm specialising in housing, asylum support, welfare rights and community care. thecabinetoffice started electronically archiving Community Law records 9 months ago and are currently working on a case study to appear here shortly |
